Terms of service
The agreement between you and the operator of this service.
1. Who provides the service
[Company name], registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number [KvK number], [address], the Netherlands, referred to below as the operator. Contact: [email]. These terms are an agreement between you and the operator.
2. What the service does
The service lets you send files to other people through a link. The files are encrypted in your browser before upload. The key that unlocks them is the part of the link after the # and is never sent to the server. The operator therefore cannot read, recover, preview or restore your files.
A transfer can be up to 10 GB, lasts 1, 6 or 24 hours and can be downloaded up to 100 times. Transfers above 5 GB travel directly between browsers and are not stored. These limits may change; the limits shown when you create a transfer apply to that transfer.
3. Your responsibilities
- You keep the link. A lost or incomplete link cannot be recovered.
- Anyone with the complete link can open the files. Share it the way you would share the files themselves.
- You have the right to send the files you upload, and sending them is lawful.
- You do not send malware, phishing material, child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, material that infringes someone’s rights, or anything else that is illegal where you are or where the recipient is.
- You do not try to get around limits or expiry, interfere with the service, or use it in a way that harms other people or the service.
- You are at least 16 years old.
4. Reports and removal
The operator cannot see what is in a transfer. Action follows from reports by users, notices from organisations such as Offlimits, and orders from competent authorities, as the Digital Services Act and Dutch law require.
A person reviews every report. If the reporter includes the full link, the files can be examined; without it, a transfer may still be removed on the basis of the report. A decision follows within 24 hours, and immediately for child sexual abuse material or terrorist content. A removed transfer stops working for everyone and cannot be restored.
If you think a removal was wrong, write to [abuse email] and a person will look at it again. The points of contact under the Digital Services Act are on the imprint page.
5. Availability and changes
The service is offered as it is. It is free, and there is no promise that it works without interruption. Features may change or stop, and the service may be ended with reasonable notice on the site.
6. Liability
The operator is not liable for a lost link or key, for files that cannot be opened because the link was incomplete, for a transfer that has expired, or for what recipients do with files. This does not apply where the law does not allow such a limit, including in cases of intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under Dutch or EU law.
7. Privacy
How personal data is handled is described in the privacy policy. In short: very little is held, nothing is sold, and your files cannot be read.
8. Your files and this site
You keep all rights to the files you send. This website and its software belong to the operator.
9. Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time. Access may be blocked for anyone who breaks these terms, section 3 in particular, and illegal content may be reported to the authorities where the law requires it.
10. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live also apply, and you can bring a dispute before the courts of that country. Write to [email] first; most problems are solved with one reply.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Changes that affect you are announced on the site at least 30 days in advance. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
